SKI CLUB

All Ski Club money and forms are due this Friday, October 24th.  It is a first come, first serve club. So, get your money in as soon as possible.  If you need a form or information, come see Mr. Brophy in the Boys Phys. Office.

SCHOLARSHIP

Grade 12 UNIVERSITY BOUND students that have a desire to apply for PRESIDENTS and CHANCELLORS scholarship opportunities need to be nominated by their home school to be considered.  If you have interest in these awards for high achieving students, please see the guidance office.  The typical benchmark for many of these awards is 90%. The deadline to be nominated for the Queen's University awards is next Friday OCTOBER 31st.
 

Book Club for Men

Attention Book Club for Men members! Book club meeting will be today at lunch in the library.  Please bring your books and if you have an idea for our t-shirt design, bring that too.  New members are always welcome!

SIMCOE BUDDIES

Are you looking for something fun to do today at lunch?  The School to Community class in Room 202 could be your answer.  We are looking for students to come and hang out with us during lunch; eat with us, play games, hang out, liten to music, become new friends.  If you are interested in becoming a Simcoe Buddy please see Ms. Nuyten or Mrs. Unwin in Room 202 for more information.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Counselor’s will be available all day in the main office (next to the elevator) for any students needing support or wishing to speak with the youth counselors or a school social worker.

MUSIC

If you would like to go on the Gospefest field trip next Wednesday, Oct 29th please get a form in the Music Room today. This annual DSBN vocal workshop is once again being held at Laura Secord and will be an all day event!  Las day to bring in the forms is Monday, Oct 27th.  Be sure to have your singing voices ready!
 

BOYS FOOTBALL

Yesterday on the back campus Danny Campbell had touchdowns runs of 40 and 10 yards helping the Governor Simcoe Redcoats improve to 3-1 in A/AA senior football action Wednesday with a 27-0 win over the Ridgeway Crystal Beach Blue Devils.  Also scoring for the Redcoats were Thomas Dakers on a 30 yard pass from Kurt Katool and Sarkis Najarian with a three yard run.  On defence,  Andrew Novak had a pair of interceptions and John McCready scooped a fumble recovery for the Redcoats.  Next action is for first place as the Redcoats take on Collegiate Wednesday.
