Graduation Photos

Attention all Graduates!!  Grad photos will be taking place next week.  You must make an appointment online. Please check posters around the school for more details.

MOVEMBER CHALLENGE

This year’s mustache challenge has begun…. Mr. Brophy is challenging staff and students to grow their best or worst mustache this month in support of cancer research.  Please donate to anyone growing this year.

ANIIME CLUB

The Anime Club will be meeting today at lunch in room 122 to continue Shingeki no Kyojin.

ROWING CLUB

There will be an “Introduction to Rowing Meeting” today at the beginning of lunch in the Library for men AND women!!  All interested students must attend, as important documents will be distributed.

SIMCOE BUDDIES

“Simcoe Buddies” will be starting up on Wednesday, November 12th.  If you are interested or have already spoken to Mrs. Unwin or Ms. Nuyten, please come to room 202 with your lunch.  We will be meeting every Wednesday in room 202 at lunch. 

GUIDANCE

The “Cape Breton University” visit has been re-scheduled for Tuesday, November 25th.

MUSIC

There will be a Jazz Band rehearsal after school on Monday in the Music Room. Newcomers welcome!!

CULTURAL TRIP

Those students in the extended French program (gr. 9 & 10) that are interested in coming on our cultural trip to Toronto, don’t forget to bring in your deposit money on Monday.  We will be signing students up on a first come, first serve basis.  Mme. MacDonald & Burns will be in the French Office by the elevator on the 2nd floor at lunch Monday to take your $$. Don’t forget.

SQUASH

Attention squash players and female athletes - White Oaks is hosting the Women's World Squash Championships December 1st - 6th.  If you are interested in going to watch some of the world's top female athletes, tickets are only $5 for DSBN students.  Please see Miss Gerbes,  Heather or Jordan MacLaughlan for more information.

REMEMBRANCE DAY

Remembrance Day is Tuesday, November 11th and poppies are available in the main office.  The poppy has been used since 1920 and represents the symbol of Remembrance.  When you wear a poppy, you honour those who have lost their lives.
