Governor Simcoe Art & Visual Arts Clubs
The Art Club / Visual Arts' Club meets every Wednesday in The Robert Herman Studio of Visual Arts (Room 127) from 2:15pm - 4:00pm.
Art Club is an after school program that provides studio place for students to work on creative initiatives that may involve painting, drawings and working with clay to enhance the aesthetic of both Governor Simcoe and the St. Catharines' community.
Visual Arts' Council's mandate is to support the the arts and maintain a Governor Simcoe arts' culture within the school and the community-at-large. Visual Arts' Council will be involved with designing and updating the visual images on the visual arts' website (simcoeart.ca), posting reviews of student artwork, writing features on Simcoe artists, photographing student artwork, archiving and cataloguing Simcoe art, as well as framing and hanging and curating art around the school and in the community. Simcoe's Visual Arts' Council will be a prescence at all DSBN art shows, drama events and music shows. This group will also be involved with designing and decorating Governor Simcoe's Community Care Float in the annual, autumn Niagara Wine Festival Parade.
