Information for Students Regarding Exams

Exam Preparation

All students will receive an exam overview for each course no later than Wednesday, January 18th. 

Organize your time and notes so that you can prepare for your up-coming exams. If you need support, please speak with your teacher/s. 

Sleep and nutrition are two important factors each and every day, but especially leading into your exams. Make sure you are eating properly and getting adequate rest, and are organizing your time so that you can review your course work and be prepared for your exam/s. 

Locker Clean-Out 

Locker clean-out will be take place on Wednesday January 25th. Students will keep their same lockers for semester two. Please make sure that you return textbooks, novels and library books to the appropriate teachers. Please make sure that any food you have in your lockers is removed. There will be extra garbage cans in the hallways during this time. 

Transportation 

School buses will be running on their regular schedule during the exam period. The library will remain open for students to work and study while they wait for their school bus. 

Students are permitted to leave school each day after they have completed their exam obligations. 

Cafeteria Services 

The cafeteria will be open on Thursday, January 26th and then will be closed during the remainder of the exam period. If you are staying for the day to work and study in the library, please bring a lunch. 

 Exams 

Students must remain for a minimum of 1 hour for each exam. At the 1-hour mark, teachers may excuse students who have completed their exams. Students who leave are permitted to go to their lockers quietly and then leave school property or report to the library. Students are not permitted to gather on the second or third floor of the school. Please be respectful of your peers who are still writing during this time.

Exams will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 26th. Periods 1, 2, 3 and 4 will run in the morning, prior to the start of this exam.
